National-Level Awards

The Korean-American Scientist and Engineers Association
(KSEA, http://www.ksea.org) is pleased to announce recipients
of the national-level awards of the 2008 National Mathematics &
Science Competition (NMSC2008) held on April 19, 2008.
The total number of approximately 2700 students,
who are in grades from the 4th to the 11th, participated in the NMSC2008 from
21 chapters in the US and 10 chapters
in Canada. A student with an average score is considered to be excellent in his
or her grade-level math.
The award certificates will be mailed to the students or the corresponding chapters by May
9, 2008.
The prizes will be sent to the winners in the US from KSEA. Average scores and distribution charts will be posted on
the KSEA website by May 16. The math problems will not be made public according to the KSEA policy.
In addition to math competition, approximately 900 students participated in the science
competition, which was held by 10 chapters in the US. Certificates and prizes for science competition were or will
be presented by the participating chapters.
